Acuity Advisors UK, a leading provider of technology mergers and acquisitions (M&A), today announced the acquisition of Optoscribe, a provider of optical networking technology, by Intel, a global leader in the semiconductor industry. Acuity Advisors UK acted as exclusive financial advisor to Optoscribe on the transaction. This acquisition will allow Intel to further expand its portfolio of advanced connectivity solutions for the data center and communications infrastructure markets. Optoscribe is a leading provider of advanced optical networking technology, focusing on the development of innovative solutions for the convergence of data centers, communications networks, and enterprise IT infrastructure.
The acquisition of Optoscribe will enable Intel to further strengthen its position in the optical networking market, as well as expand its reach into the enterprise data center and cloud markets. The combination of Optoscribe’s optical networking technology with Intel’s portfolio of advanced connectivity solutions will provide customers with greater flexibility, scalability, and performance.

Roles with ARM, McKinsey and Cadence have given Matthew an exceptional insight into the world’s most successful businesses and a number of the UK’s eminent start-ups, underpinning his success at Acuity.
Matthew has considerable experience across a broad range of technology sectors throughout the UK, US and Asia, ranging from nanotechnology, semiconductor and cleantech to digital media and internet businesses. It’s experience that has given him a robust, well-developed and international network. Having also run and successfully exited his own business, Matthew has a deep understanding of the financial and emotional aspects of this demanding process, bringing a unique and authoritative perspective to each business sale.
